How it works

PLASMA IQ harnesses the power of plasma energy to trigger epidermal fulguration, resulting in immediate skin retraction and tightening in the target area.

  1. As the device approaches the skin during treatment, it ionizes gas particles in the air to create a plasma arc between the tip and skin that looks like a spark.
  2. The plasma arc causes sublimation of the epidermis of the skin; turning a solid straight into gas, resulting in immediate skin retraction and tightening in the target area.
This method of plasma sublimation is highly tareted and controlled. It does not transfer heat to the surrounding area.
  3. Procedure creates tiny brown carbon crusts or scabs in the treated area that remain for approximately a week before dropping off.
  4. Due to the micro-injuries sustained during treatment, the skin stimulates fibroblasts within the dermal layer. Active fibroblasts generate new collagen and elastin to renew and restore the skin.

Compatibility & safety

Since the Plasma IQ treatment tightens, lifts and renews the skin through the natural healing process, it is highly bio-compatible with a low risk of side effects.

The treatments are non-invasive, can be completed in-office and are short in duration. Most treatments can be completed within 30 minutes to one hour. The total treatment time will vary mostly due to the size of the treatment area.

Highly targeted and focused energy helps to reduce injury or damage to the surrounding tissue. This improves the speed of recover and lessens the severity of side effects like swelliing, bruising and redness.

Plasma IQ’s precise and adjustable energy delivery enable providers to tailor the energy delivery for the treatment area, goal and individual patient.

PLASMA IQ is FDA cleared to be used in the removal and destruction of skin lesions and the coagulation of tissue. The most common side effects are swelling, tenderness, scabbing, and redness.
